Authorizes music talent to invoke the 7-year limit on personal services contracts by providing written notice to their employer and repaying any contractual advances for undelivered phonorecords.

Prohibits exclusive personal services contracts for music talent from including option periods extending more than 12 months after initial commercial release of the music product.

Allows music talent to terminate their personal services agreement at any time if their option has not been formally exercised within the 12-month period.

Prohibits waiver of these provisions in individual contracts, collective bargaining agreements, or other agreements, and voids any contract terms that would deprive employees or music talent of these protections.
