Proclaims June 19, 2022, as Veterans of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Day in California

Honors the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces (established December 30, 1955), which consisted of four branches: Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Division

Recognizes the sacrifices of over 250,000 South Vietnamese Armed Forces members killed in the Vietnam War and more than 1,000,000 injured

Acknowledges that over 250,000 South Vietnamese military personnel were imprisoned in camps after the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, with many spending 18+ years in captivity

Notes that more than 100,000 veterans of the Republic of Vietnam now reside in California and have contributed to American society and diversity
