Declares the week of May 9, 2022, to May 13, 2022, inclusive, as Student Mental Health Week in California.

Recognizes that student mental health needs often go unaddressed in schools and that reducing stigma around mental health will empower students to seek help.

Acknowledges multiple stressors affecting California students including community violence, traumatic natural disasters, adverse childhood experiences, and excessive social media use.

Affirms that early identification and treatment of mental health and behavioral issues is critical for healthy students and school communities.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution to the author for distribution.
