Proclaims Sunday, June 12, 2022, as Loving Day in California to commemorate the 1967 Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virginia that legalized interracial marriage nationwide.

Recognizes that the Loving decision struck down interracial marriage bans in 16 states and overturned laws that had prohibited marriage between people of different races.

Acknowledges California's leadership in the marriage equality movement, noting that the state's 1948 Perez v. Sharp decision preceded the federal ruling by 19 years by striking down California's antimiscegenation law.

Notes that Loving Day, founded in 2004, aims to fight racial prejudice, promote tolerance and awareness, and foster multicultural communities through education and commemoration.
