Designates a 2.052-mile portion of State Highway 101 between Interstate 405 (postmarker 17.165) and Balboa Boulevard (postmarker 19.217) as the Dr. Sally Ride Memorial Highway in honor of the astronaut and physicist.

Requests the Department of Transportation to determine the cost of appropriate signs displaying the special designation and to erect those signs upon receiving sufficient donations from nonstate sources.

Honors Dr. Sally Ride, who was born in Los Angeles and became the first American woman in space aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger in June 1983, and the youngest American to reach space.

Recognizes Ride's contributions to science education, her role as a Stanford-educated physicist with advanced degrees, and her leadership as Director of the California Space Institute at UC San Diego before her death on July 23, 2012.
