Nearly 24,000 noncitizen immigrants currently serve in the U.S. Armed Forces with 5,000 more joining annually, yet many face deportation despite their military service.

Urges the federal government to streamline the citizenship process for service members and veterans to become citizens immediately.

Calls for halting all deportations of veterans and pardoning all veterans who have already been deported to allow them to return to the United States.

Notes that thousands of noncitizen service members have been deported over the past two decades despite contributing to military operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere, with no official record of the total number deported.

Directs the California Legislature to transmit copies of this resolution to the President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, Senate Majority Leader, and all California members of Congress.
