Urges Congress to enact the bipartisan Save Our Sequoias Act to address threats to giant sequoias in California

Giant sequoias exist in approximately 70 groves across 37,000 acres in the Sierra Nevada, with some trees over 3,000 years old and populations recently decimated by wildfires

Recent wildfires have killed nearly 20 percent of the world's mature giant sequoia population over the past three years, with the U.S. Forest Service needing approximately 52 years to treat its 19 most at-risk groves at current pace

The proposed federal legislation would improve interagency coordination, utilize scientific analysis to prioritize protection efforts, streamline forest restoration projects, and provide emergency tools and resources for land managers

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit the resolution to the President, Vice President, Congressional leadership, and California's representatives in Congress
