Proclaims September 2022 as Service Dog Appreciation Month in California to honor service dogs and their contributions to their owners and communities

Recognizes that only 30%-50% of service dog candidates successfully complete rigorous training and testing standards

Acknowledges that service dogs assist people with various needs including object retrieval, balance assistance, seizure and diabetic alerts, psychiatric disabilities, and support for wounded veterans with PTSD and traumatic brain injury

Notes that approximately 80 million people benefit from service dogs, though millions more need them with average wait times of about three years

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to distribute copies of the resolution to the author
