Recognizes July 4, 2022, as the 246th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States of America

Calls upon all people of California and the United States to gain greater knowledge and understanding of the facts, circumstances, and principles of liberty, equality, and self-determination underlying the Declaration of Independence

Expresses the Assembly's heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and prayers to all current and former members of the United States Armed Forces for their sacrifices in preserving and defending American freedoms

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to distribute suitable copies of this resolution to Members of the Assembly for distribution
