CA SB1012

Requires state park system units to follow and enforce open fire rules that are at least as restrictive as those adopted by local fire departments or fire protection districts within their boundaries.

Defines "open fires" by reference to Section 4103.4 of the Public Resources Code.

When a state park unit is located within boundaries of both a local fire department and fire protection district, the unit must follow whichever set of rules is more restrictive.

Applies to all units of the state park system controlled by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
