CA SB1055

Prohibits the Department of Child Support Services from including support obligors on the license suspension list sent to the Department of Motor Vehicles if their annual household income is at or below 70% of the median income for their county.

Uses the most recent data published by the Department of Housing and Community Development pursuant to California Code of Regulations Title 25, Section 6932 to determine county median income.

Applies to all driver's licenses until January 1, 2027, when the prohibition becomes limited to noncommercial driver's licenses only.

Becomes operative on January 1, 2025, and is implemented only to the extent allowed under federal law.
