Removes the November 4, 2022 deadline for filing petitions to reduce sentences under Proposition 47 (Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act), allowing individuals to petition at any time without a filing deadline.

Applies to persons convicted of felonies that would have been misdemeanors under Proposition 47, including offenses related to drug possession, shoplifting, forgery, and theft.

Maintains the existing criteria for resentencing, including the court's discretion to deny resentencing if it poses an unreasonable risk of danger to public safety.

Updates gendered language throughout the statute from "his or her" to "their" for gender-neutral application.

Takes effect immediately as an urgency statute.
