Exempts currently enrolled pupils from being charged with a misdemeanor (punishable by up to $500 fine) for willfully disturbing a public school or school meeting

Repeals Education Code Section 44014, which required school employees to report to law enforcement when attacked, assaulted, or physically threatened by a pupil, and imposed fines of up to $1,000 for failure to report

Eliminates most mandatory law enforcement notification requirements for principals regarding unlawful acts committed by pupils on campus

Retains only the requirement for principals to notify law enforcement of violations involving firearms or weapons in school zones under Penal Code Sections 626.9 and 626.10, consistent with federal Gun-Free Schools Act requirements

Requires transmission of special education and disciplinary records when reporting criminal acts by students with exceptional needs, as permitted under federal privacy laws
