Limits eligibility for California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science to pupils from California schools: those graduating from 8th grade at a California school, currently enrolled in grades 9-12 at a California school, or who graduated from a California high school in the preceding school year.

Removes provisions allowing admission of non-California residents and residents of other countries to the summer school.

Sets application fee at $40 in 2023 with authorization for annual increases of up to 5 percent thereafter (previously capped at $30 until January 1, 2023).

Increases maximum tuition fee to $4,770 per session in 2023 with authorization for annual increases of up to 5 percent thereafter (previously capped at $2,810 per session in 2012).

Extends fee and tuition provisions until January 1, 2028 (previously set to expire January 1, 2023).
