Amends Education Code sections 51210 and 51220 to encourage inclusion of Asian American and Pacific Islander contributions in social sciences instruction for grades 1-6 and grades 7-12.

Requires curriculum to highlight individual Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders as American legends, heroes, and contributors to U.S. democracy, society, government, arts, humanities, sciences, education, economy, and culture.

Directs inclusion of Asian American and Pacific Islander contributions to economic, cultural, social, and political development of the United States, and their commitment toward advancing civil rights.

Mandates instruction on the heroism of Japanese American soldiers during World War II internment, including the 100th Infantry Battalion and 442nd Regimental Combat Team as the most decorated unit for its size and length of service in U.S. military history.

Requires coverage of approximately 20,000 Chinese immigrants' hard work and resilience in completing the western portion of the nation's first transcontinental railroad within the timeframe required by the Pacific Railway Act of 1862.
