Authorizes the Board of Supervisors of Siskiyou County to abolish the office of road commissioner and transfer all duties to the county director of the department of public works

Allows the department director to perform road commissioner duties without requiring a special permit, registration, or license

Requires any required civil engineering functions to be performed by a registered civil engineer acting under the director's authority

Legislature finds that Siskiyou County has difficulty finding qualified candidates for the road commissioner position, justifying this special statute

Takes effect immediately as an urgency statute to provide cost-savings and fiscal relief to the county
