Establishes workers' compensation presumptions for hospital employees providing direct patient care in acute care hospitals for five categories of injuries: infectious diseases, cancer, musculoskeletal injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, and respiratory diseases.

Creates rebuttable presumptions that these injuries arose out of and in the course of employment, with the burden shifting to employers to prove otherwise.

Extends presumptions for 3 calendar months per year of employment (capped at 60 months for infectious diseases and musculoskeletal injuries, 120 months for cancer and respiratory diseases, and 36 months for PTSD) after termination of employment.

Includes COVID-19 as both an infectious disease and respiratory disease under the presumptions, along with other specified conditions like tuberculosis, MRSA, bloodborne pathogens, and occupational cancers.

Provides full hospital, surgical, medical treatment, disability indemnity, and death benefits for covered injuries under California workers' compensation law.
