Prohibits a person from holding themself out as a radiologist assistant unless they pass an examination by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants, or a department-approved successor entity, and maintain current registration.

Requires radiologist assistants to work only under supervision of a radiologist and prohibits them from interpreting images, making diagnoses, or prescribing medications or therapies.

Allows radiologist assistants to administer drugs only as directed by a supervising radiologist and to communicate clinical observations only to the radiologist for the radiologist's use.

Permits supervising radiologists to delegate tasks and services to radiologist assistants based on the assistant's demonstrated competence.

Requires radiologist assistants to be certified or permitted to conduct radiologic technology in California or possess a radiologist assistant license from another state that licenses radiologist assistants.
