Support staff employees at California State University receive a 5% merit salary intermediate step adjustment annually after completing their first year and each subsequent year, if they meet satisfactory performance standards as determined by their administrator through uniform evaluation process.

Language implementing these provisions automatically becomes part of any memorandum of understanding or collective bargaining agreement entered into or renewed by California State University on or after January 1, 2022.

All costs associated with implementing these salary adjustments must be paid using existing resources of the California State University.

The provisions become inoperative on July 1, 2032, and are repealed effective January 1, 2033.
