Requires local governmental entities qualified to conduct defensible space assessments in very high and high fire hazard severity zones to report data using a common reporting platform established by the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Mandates the department report to the Legislature on December 31, 2023, and annually thereafter, detailing all defensible space data collected through the common reporting platform, including compliance rates and enforcement actions.

Gives priority in local assistance grant program applications to local governmental entities that use the common reporting platform to report defensible space assessment information in high fire hazard areas.

Establishes that the common reporting platform must include quality control measures to ensure assessment data accuracy and reliability.

Sunsets the reporting and platform requirements on January 1, 2026.
