Allows deposition subpoenas commanding only production of business records to be served by overnight delivery, facsimile transmission, or electronic means (in addition to personal delivery), provided the business consents in writing to these service methods.

Extends the compliance time period by two additional court days when a deposition subpoena for business records is served by overnight delivery, facsimile transmission, or electronic means.

Extends the compliance time period by two additional court days in civil actions when a subpoena duces tecum served on a business is transmitted by overnight delivery, facsimile transmission, or electronic means, increasing the deadline from 15 days to 17 days after receipt.

Applies these new service and compliance provisions to subpoenas directed at custodians of records or other qualified witnesses when the business is neither a party to the action nor the place where the cause of action arose.
