CA SB973

Requires the State Department of Social Services to submit a report to the Legislature by January 1, 2024 with recommendations on administering the State Supplementary Program for the Aged, Blind and Disabled.

Report must include recommendations on whether program administration should be shifted from current arrangements to the department.

Report must address anticipated impacts to the program if another state/commonwealth administers it or if the department takes over administration.

Report must analyze potential efficiencies, savings, or costs that could result from alternative administration arrangements.

Section automatically repeals on January 1, 2028 pursuant to Government Code Section 10231.5.
