Proclaims August 2022 as Breastfeeding Awareness Month of 2022 in California.

Recognizes health benefits of breastfeeding including reduced risk of sudden infant death syndrome, asthma, allergies, diabetes, obesity, and childhood leukemia in infants, and reduced risk of breast cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, and postpartum depression in mothers.

Affirms that Californians should work to remove barriers to breastfeeding initiation and continuation.

Encourages Californians to improve women's access to breastfeeding support services in medical, social, and employment settings and to increase awareness and education about breastfeeding.
