Authorizes and requests the California Law Revision Commission to study California law and prepare recommended legislation to remedy defects related to discriminatory language based on sex and disparate impacts on the basis of sex in enforcement.

Commission shall request input from experts and interested parties including academics and research organizations during its study.

Commission's report shall identify and list further substantive issues discovered during the work as topics for future examination.

Establishes this study in response to Virginia's ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment on January 27, 2020, which satisfied the three-fourths state requirement for constitutional amendment ratification.

Resolution acknowledges the ERA's provision that "equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex."
