Affirms California Legislature's support for expanding Social Security and urges California's U.S. Representatives and Senators to vote in favor of the Social Security 2100 Act: A Sacred Trust.

The Social Security 2100 Act increases benefits across the board and for targeted groups including long-serving low-wage workers, oldest seniors, and caregivers who left the workforce to care for dependents.

The act restores student benefits for dependent children of disabled, deceased, or retired workers up to age 26, improves widow and widower benefits, and enhances cost-of-living adjustments for seniors and people with disabilities.

Repeals the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset that harm more than 325,000 California residents and raises federal income tax thresholds for Social Security benefits to $35,000 for single filers and $50,000 for joint filers.

Finances all benefit expansions and reduces the projected long-range shortfall by more than one-half by requiring earnings above $400,000 to be subject to Social Security contributions at the same rate as other workers.
