Permits filing officers to retain campaign reports and statements as electronic copies or microfilm without waiting two years, effective immediately for paper filings.

Requires public officials for whom the Fair Political Practices Commission is the filing officer to file statements of economic interests electronically with the Commission instead of filing with their agency first.

Authorizes the Commission to redact filers' signatures, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, and certain family member information from online public disclosures, with discretion for elected officials' privacy concerns.

Removes microfilm as an acceptable alternative storage format when an online filing and disclosure system is certified by the Secretary of State, leaving only electronic copies as an option.

Declares the bill furthers the purposes of the Political Reform Act of 1974 and provides that no state reimbursement is required for local compliance costs related to this act.
