Requires the State Energy Resources Conservation and Development Commission to include an assessment of fusion energy's potential to contribute to California's power supply in the 2027 integrated energy policy report.

Defines "fusion" as a nuclear reaction producing a heavier, more stable nucleus from lighter nuclei through high temperatures and pressures, and "fusion energy" as the energy product used to generate electricity or other commercially usable forms of energy.

Mandates the assessment identify necessary regulatory and policy actions to deploy fusion energy types (including aneutronic fusion and deuterium-tritium reactions) within California's energy system.

Requires identification of state and federal investments available for fusion energy development and deployment as part of the assessment.

Sunsets on January 1, 2029, repealing this section automatically.
