Restitution fines imposed under Penal Code Section 1202.4 become unenforceable and uncollectible 10 years after imposition, including any collection fees, and any judgment imposing those fines is vacated.

Minors adjudged to be wards of the court are no longer required to pay a separate restitution fine; only direct restitution to victims is required.

For victim restitution involving multiple minors, each minor is held severally liable (not jointly and severally liable) based on their percentage of responsibility, with aggregate liability not exceeding 100 percent.

Restitution fines imposed against minors under Welfare and Institutions Code Section 730.6 become unenforceable and uncollectible 10 years after imposition.

Sections 1752.81 and 1752.82 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, which addressed trust fund distributions for minors committed to the Division of Juvenile Justice (closed June 30, 2023), are repealed.
