Adds fitness, physical activity, or recreational sports programs, activities, or memberships to the list of approved community supports that Medi-Cal managed care plans may cover as cost-effective and medically appropriate alternatives to standard Medi-Cal services.

Allows these community supports to be offered only to beneficiaries enrolled in Medi-Cal managed care plans with comprehensive risk contracts, and participation is voluntary for enrollees.

Requires the State Department of Health Care Services to publicly post which community supports each Medi-Cal managed care plan offers and to annually publish utilization data stratified by age, sex, race, ethnicity, and languages spoken.

Mandates that Medi-Cal managed care plans inform members about available community supports through member handbooks and plan websites, including any limitations on those supports.

Requires the department to conduct independent evaluation of community supports effectiveness and account for actual costs when developing capitation rates.
