Extends remote criminal proceeding provisions until January 1, 2025, allowing defendants to waive physical presence and appear remotely (with exceptions for jury/court trials and sentencing), and protects court reporters from retaliation for reporting technology issues.

Authorizes Department of Corrections to enter long-term contracts up to 10 years for prisoner transfers to community correctional reentry centers; prohibits contracting for centers in current or former state prison facilities as of October 14, 2023.

Expands Department of Justice fingerprint submission to FBI for subsequent arrest notification services, including latent fingerprint searches; authorizes collection of fees for federal services.

Establishes procedures for criminal background check requests for positions with supervisory/disciplinary power over minors, including requirements for waivers, disposition data research, and written notice to applicants of their rights to challenge report accuracy.

Allows juvenile courts to retain jurisdiction over persons 25 years or older for up to 2 years from disposition if convicted of specified offenses; authorizes Attorney General to adjust ammunition transaction fees based on program costs.
