CA AB1474

Adds veterans to the list of population groups that must be included in the California Statewide Housing Plan's housing strategy, alongside elderly persons, persons with disabilities, large families, and farmworker households.

Requires the Department of Housing and Community Development to consult with the Department of Veterans Affairs when developing the housing strategy, to the extent possible.

Requires plan revisions to include discussion of housing needs for various population groups including veterans, disabled persons, elderly persons, large families, female-headed households, and farmworker households.

Incorporates amendments related to a 10-year housing data strategy for plan revisions on or after January 1, 2020, including evaluation of data priorities, consistent terminology, digital systems integration, and enforcement of housing laws.

Contains a conditional provision that Section 2.5 becomes operative only if both AB 1474 and AB 1764 are enacted and become effective by January 1, 2024, with AB 1474 enacted after AB 1764.
