Exempts products eligible to be labeled as "compostable" from source reduction requirements under the Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act.

Defines "compostable covered materials" as products that meet standards to be labeled "compostable" under existing state law (Chapter 5.7, commencing with Section 42355).

Source reduction requirements in Section 42057, which require a 25% reduction in plastic covered material, no longer apply to compostable covered materials.
