Amends Section 1798.199.90 of the Civil Code to establish a 5-year statute of limitations for civil actions brought by the Attorney General to enforce the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA)

Changes the deadline from the existing 1-year general statute for actions involving forfeitures or penalties to the state to align with the 5-year administrative enforcement timeline

The 5-year period begins from when the cause of action accrued, consistent with how the California Privacy Protection Agency enforces administrative violations

Does not affect private rights of action for CCPA violations available to consumers under Section 1798.150
