Energy Commission must conduct a study on transitioning retail gasoline fueling stations to provide alternative fuels (electricity and hydrogen) by a specified date, in coordination with the State Air Resources Board and Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development.

Study shall assess opportunities and barriers to deploying alternative fueling infrastructure at gasoline stations and identify potential financial incentives and regulatory barriers for infrastructure installation or replacement.

Energy Commission must convene relevant state and local agencies and stakeholders before initiating the study to determine its scope.

Energy Commission shall deliver the completed study to the Legislature no later than January 1, 2027.

The section automatically repeals on January 1, 2030.
