County of Santa Clara authorized to allow change orders up to $750,000 for construction contracts exceeding $50,000,000 in original cost, adjusted annually for California Consumer Price Index changes

Change order authority applies to both general county construction contracting and county highway contracting

County of Santa Clara limited to modifying no more than 7 contracts under these provisions and must submit a review report to the Assembly Committee on Local Government and Senate Committee on Governance and Finance by July 1, 2026

All provisions expire on January 1, 2027
