Judicial Council must establish training programs for judges on best practices for treating alleged sexual abuse and assault victims in courtroom cases by July 1, 2026

Training program development shall be informed by research and evidence on the impact of sexual abuse and assault on victims

Commencing January 1, 2027, training must be provided to all newly appointed or elected judges as part of orientation or initial training, and to all judicial officers upon assignment to family, juvenile, or criminal courts

Training shall be made available to all judicial officers on an annual basis

Judicial Council may conduct training in person or through remote technology
