Requires each individual public school that has elected to provide opioid antagonist services to maintain at least two units of naloxone hydrochloride or another opioid antagonist on campus.

Applies only to schools that have already chosen to make a school nurse or trained personnel available for naloxone administration under existing law.

Schools may voluntarily elect whether to provide naloxone and trained personnel based on emergency medical response times and local needs.

School districts, county offices of education, and charter schools must obtain prescriptions from an authorizing physician and ensure trained volunteers receive annual refresher training on storage and emergency use.

Trained personnel and school nurses receive liability protections when administering naloxone in good faith for suspected opioid overdoses, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
