Owner must give written notice to occupant prior to termination or nonrenewal of rental agreement, informing them property may be sold or disposed of if not claimed within specified timeframe.

Former occupant may reclaim abandoned property within 15-18 days of notice (depending on delivery method) by paying rent; property reclaimed within 2 days of termination is released without storage cost charges.

If property is not reclaimed, owner may dispose of it directly if reasonably believed to be worth less than $300; otherwise property must be sold at public sale by competitive bidding.

After deducting rent, advertising, and sale costs, remaining proceeds from sale must be paid to county within 30 days; former occupant may claim balance within one year.

Owner may change rental agreement terms upon 30 days' written notice; terms take effect automatically if occupant continues storing property after notice period expires.
