Requires health care service plan contracts and disability insurance policies issued or renewed on or after July 1, 2025, to provide coverage for dietary enteral formulas for treatment of regional enteritis.

Dietary enteral formulas must be prescribed by a licensed physician or nurse practitioner and deemed medically necessary to prevent serious physical or mental disabilities or promote normal development.

Excludes Medi-Cal managed care plans from coverage requirements to the extent services are excluded under their contracts with the State Department of Health Care Services.

Defines "dietary enteral formula" as enteral formulas that may be taken orally at home and are prescribed for treatment of regional enteritis by authorized health care providers.

Specifies no state reimbursement to local agencies or school districts is required under the California Constitution.
