Board of Registered Nursing may approve individuals to serve as faculty members, directors, or assistant directors at approved nursing schools and programs.

Applicants must submit a completed application meeting board-established requirements; approval is valid for 5 years and may be renewed.

Board must display approved individuals' status, including faculty level, content areas, and nursing license status through an online search tool.

Nursing schools must report changes in director and assistant director positions to the board if required, but are exempt from reporting faculty changes, teaching area changes, or employment offers.

Remediation plans may be accepted allowing applicants without all requirements to instruct in theory under mentorship for up to one year.
