Amends Penal Code Section 602(n) to add an exemption for repossession agencies licensed by the Department of Consumer Affairs and their employees when searching for or repossessing collateral on private property.

Repossession agency employees must leave the private property within a reasonable amount of time after completing the search or repossession to qualify for the exemption.

The exemption does not restrict the Director of Consumer Affairs's authority to penalize conduct prohibited under Business and Professions Code Section 7508.2.
