Requires school districts to provide parents or guardians of pupils in grades 11 and 12 with information on local apprenticeship and preapprenticeship programs at the beginning of the first semester or quarter of the school term.

School districts must use the Department of Industrial Relations' Division of Apprenticeship Standards database to identify registered program sponsors and may obtain related materials such as pamphlets or brochures from that database.

School districts maintaining internet websites must provide a direct link to the Division of Apprenticeship Standards' database on their website.

Establishes that if the Commission on State Mandates determines this act creates state-mandated costs, reimbursement shall be made pursuant to Part 7 of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Government Code.
