Extends the time for defendants to file a response in summary proceedings for obtaining possession of real property from 5 days to 10 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and judicial holidays, after the complaint is served.

Adds 5 additional court days for filing a response when service is completed by mail or through the Secretary of State's address confidentiality program.

Requires hearings on demurrers or motions to strike to be scheduled between 5 to 7 court days after the notice of motion is filed, with court discretion to schedule later for good cause.

Permits written opposition and replies to be filed and served by the court day before the hearing through personal delivery, electronic service, fax, express mail, or other means reasonably calculated to ensure delivery by close of business.

Allows oral presentation of opposition and replies at the time of the hearing, with court discretion to consider late-filed written opposition.
