Requires schools to grant accommodations to pupils in kindergarten through grade 12 who are participating in religious fasting, exempting them from physical activity components of physical education courses upon written parental or student notification.

Mandates that pupils granted religious fasting accommodations receive instructional time credit for physical education requirements after completing alternative assignments or activities.

Applies to instructional time requirements under Education Code sections 51210, 51222, and 51223.

Creates a state-mandated local program requiring reimbursement from the state to local agencies and school districts if the Commission on State Mandates determines costs are imposed.
