Creates exemption from alcoholic beverage licensing requirements for apprenticeship programs in bartending or mixology that are approved by the Chief of the Division of Apprenticeship Standards under Labor Code Section 3075

Requires students in exempt apprenticeship programs to be 21 years of age or older and permits them to taste, but not consume, alcoholic beverages as part of the curriculum

Prohibits charging any extra fee or charge for alcoholic beverages served in the apprenticeship program

Amends Section 23399.5 of the Business and Professions Code to add this new exemption alongside existing exemptions for limousine and hot air balloon ride services

Approved by Governor September 20, 2024 and filed with Secretary of State the same date
