Exempts pupils enrolled in a school district from misdemeanor charges and fines (up to $500) for willfully disturbing a public school or school meeting.

Removes the requirement that school principals notify law enforcement about a pupil's possession of controlled or regulated substances.

Requires school principals to notify law enforcement when a pupil's act requires notification under the federal Gun-Free Schools Act of 1994, which conditions certain federal funding on criminal or juvenile delinquency referrals for students bringing firearms or weapons to school.

Retains existing requirements for principals to notify law enforcement of acts that may violate assault laws, firearm/weapon statutes, and other serious criminal violations by pupils.
