Medical Board of California, Osteopathic Medical Board of California, Board of Registered Nursing, and Physician Assistant Board must expedite licensure for applicants intending to provide gender-affirming health care or gender-affirming mental health care within their scope of practice.

Applicants must demonstrate intent by providing documentation including a letter from an employer or contracting entity showing they have accepted employment or entered a contract to provide these services, their start date, and service location.

All applicable statutory and regulatory licensure requirements remain unchanged; expedited processing does not waive existing requirements.

"Gender-affirming health care" and "gender-affirming mental health care" are defined by reference to Section 16010.2 of the Welfare and Institutions Code.

Provisions automatically repeal on January 1, 2029.
