Eliminates renewal requirements for public health nurse certificates, making them permanent once issued.

Sets evaluation fee for registered nurses seeking public health nurse certification between $300 and $1,000 (or up to $1,000 if SB 1526 also passes).

Removes renewal fees and associated 50% penalty fees that previously applied to public health nurse certificates.

Directs the Board of Registered Nursing to refund nurses who paid over $300 for evaluation between April 5, 2018 and December 31, 2018.

Coordinates with SB 1526 to incorporate concurrent amendments to Section 2816 of the Business and Professions Code if both bills are enacted.
