Establishes a competitive grant program through the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to fund school greening projects that reduce ambient temperatures at California K-12 school sites.

Requires the department to develop grant guidelines and selection criteria by July 1, 2025, including holding at least two public hearings before development.

Mandates that at least 60% of funded greening features be located in student-use areas such as playgrounds, lunch areas, and outdoor instruction spaces.

Requires that at least 80% of grant funding prioritize "in-need education facilities" (schools in disadvantaged communities or where 70% or more students qualify for free/reduced-price meals).

Establishes the School Greening and Resiliency Fund in the State Treasury to receive appropriated funding, with grant recipients required to maintain projects for a minimum of five years.
