Adds Labor Code Section 927 to make unenforceable any contract provision allowing creation and use of a digital replica of an individual's voice or likeness in place of their in-person work performance for services created on or after January 1, 2025

Provision is unenforceable only if it lacks a reasonably specific description of intended uses of the digital replica, unless the uses are consistent with the contract terms and the fundamental character of the original performance or recording

Provision remains enforceable if the individual was represented by legal counsel who negotiated the digital replica rights with clear commercial terms in a signed contract, or by a labor union whose collective bargaining agreement expressly addresses digital replica uses

Defines "digital replica" as a computer-generated, highly realistic electronic representation of an individual's voice or visual likeness that the person either did not actually perform, or performed but with materially altered fundamental character

Does not affect other contract provisions, exclusivity grants, or electronic reproduction, sampling, remixing, or remastering of authorized sound recordings or audiovisual works
